Dark Tranquility es una banda de culto ya que a hecho aportaciones invaluables a la musica moderna, muy probablemente si esta banda no existiera, junto a las demás leyendas del death metal melódico en Gothenburg, muchas otras agrupaciones no existirían o tendrían un sonido diferente.

Al igual que sus compañeros de In Flames, han tenido una aceptación muy grande por el publico del mainstream y al mismo tiempo han conservando bastante de su credibilidad musical.

El sonido de Dark Tranquility es una combinación de elementos del death, black metal y melodías muy poco comunes en estos géneros, así como por supuesto la adhesión de un teclado que le da un cambio nunca antes visto en la época en la que aparecieron en la escena del metal.

Algo bastante recalcable de esta agrupación es que nunca han perdido la agresividad de sus canciones ni han mutado a otros géneros haciéndolos unos de los expositores mas importantes del Melodic Death Metal.

Discografia de Immortal

Immortal es una de mis bandas favoritas de black metal, tienen muchísima agresividad, velocidad, y las letras son algo distintas del black metal tradicional.

El tema central de Immortal es el invierno, el frió, la obscuridad, lo cual lo podemos observar en sus letras, discos e incluso en la propia música que es muy seca y abrasiva.

Hablando un poco mas de la música, me encantan los riffs de guitarra de Abbath ( Vocalista y guitarrista de la banda) son tremendamente veloces y llenos de agresividad, pero al mismo tiempo detrás de la pared de distorsión encontraremos melodias muy interesantes.

En general la musica es muy muy ruda, especialmente en los primeros albums, si no estas acostumbrado al black metal "original" lo mas seguro es que no lo puedas disfrutar, pero para todo el demas publico conocedor que le agrade el black metal, no podran dejar de escuchar a estas bestias glaciares xD!.

Y finalmente hablándoles un poco de la historia de Immortal, ellos a pesar de estar en la misma zona que el "Inner Circle" tomaron una ruta muy diferente a sus compatriotas y evitaron meterse en tanto problemas con la ley.

Un hecho bastante desafortunado fue que después del disco "Blizzard Beasts" el guitarrista "Demonaz" tuve que salir del grupo debido a una lesión en el brazo, lo cual le impide tocar a la velocidad necesaria para Immortal, pasando el rol de guitarrista a Abbath.

Esto se puede escuchar en el disco "At The Heart of the Winter" en el cual el sonido es un poco mas thrash pero igual siendo extremadamente bien realizado.

Para concluir "Sons Of Northen Darkness" es su ultimo disco hasta la fecha porque se desintegro la banda después de su lanzamiento, pero afortunadamente Immortal esta de regreso!!! el año pasado tocaron nuevamente juntos y dicen ellos mismos que ya están preparando las canciones para su nueva producción, lo cual es una fantástica noticia para el mundo del Metal.

Discografia de Stormlord

Stormlord son una banda Italiana formada en el año de 1991, pero no fue hasta 1999 cuando su primer "Full length" salio a la venta.

Este primer disco "Supreme Art Of War" apesar de que cuando fue lanzado los miembros de la banda todavía eran muy jóvenes y estaban definiendo su sonido, fue un álbum increíblemente bueno que llamo la atención de los fans y de la critica especializada, todos los que lo escucharon sabían que esta banda tenia un gran futuro por delante.

Y pues por supuesto que así fue, su siguiente producción: " At The Gates of Utopia" esta en un nivel totalmente distinto, es una combinación excelente de Black Metal, con elementos del power metal e incluso del folk y se corrigieron algunos aspectos del primer disco, por ejemplo la batería en "Supreme Art Of War" suena un poco extraño incluso muchos pensaban que era una drum-machine y la voz en ese disco igualmente tenia algunas ligeras fallas, pero ya de aquí en adelante todo lo que encontraran es pura pinche perfección.

La música es muy pesada por su base en el black metal, pero al mismo tiempo es tremendamente melódica y memorable por el uso de teclados, riffs de guitarra inventivos y variados, algunos cambios de voz ( especialmente desde "The Gorgon Cult") y en sus ultimas producciones incluso encontraremos algunos instrumentos poco comunes en el metal.

Stormlord es una banda genial que cada ves se hace mejor y mejor, si te gusta el black, el death, el viking e incluso si te gusta el power podrás disfrutar mucho de esta agrupación , se las recomiendo ampliamente a todos los que visiten este blog, les apuesto que les va a gustar
