Discografia de Dark Tranquility

Dark Tranquility es una banda de culto ya que a hecho aportaciones invaluables a la musica moderna, muy probablemente si esta banda no existiera, junto a las demás leyendas del death metal melódico en Gothenburg, muchas otras agrupaciones no existirían o tendrían un sonido diferente.

Al igual que sus compañeros de In Flames, han tenido una aceptación muy grande por el publico del mainstream y al mismo tiempo han conservando bastante de su credibilidad musical.

El sonido de Dark Tranquility es una combinación de elementos del death, black metal y melodías muy poco comunes en estos géneros, así como por supuesto la adhesión de un teclado que le da un cambio nunca antes visto en la época en la que aparecieron en la escena del metal.

Algo bastante recalcable de esta agrupación es que nunca han perdido la agresividad de sus canciones ni han mutado a otros géneros haciéndolos unos de los expositores mas importantes del Melodic Death Metal.
